Platelet rich plasma is still very much the new, exciting kid on the block, but PRF is the next generation of this state-of-the-art treatment. Both PRP and PRF rely on taking a small sample of blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate it into layers, but while PRP spins rapidly to isolate the plasma, PRF spins more slowly, allowing white blood cells and stem cells to mingle with the plasma, enhancing the healing effects of the treatment.

  • A sample of your blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge, creating the right mix of highly concentrated plasma, stem cells and white blood cells. After 20 minutes this becomes a gel and is injected into the treatment areas. Unlike PRP, PRF can be used as a replacement for dermal fillers, using your body’s own healing products to volumise the face. For hair loss, PRF is injected into the scalp to generate new hair growth.
