How does fat melting and loose skin treatment at Milan Skin Clinic work?
- Fat melting. Because of their oily composition, fat cells heat up more quickly than other skin tissue. Targeted radiofrequency waves heat the fat cells up, and at 40°C they start to melt and metabolise, transported through the body by the lymphatic and vascular systems before being broken down and expelled by the liver and kidneys.
- Skin tightening. Fibroblasts are connective tissues in the skin that produce collagen and elastin, keeping it firm and tight, but as we age that production slows and skin can sag. Heating the deep layers of the skin to 40-45°C stimulates the fibroblasts, increasing the production of new collagen and elastic fibres. The strength and thickness of collagen fibres in the treated areas are increased, and the spaces between the fibres are visibly reduced when viewed under a microscope. Blood supply is increased, and the skin is tightened.
Am I a good candidate for radiofrequency treatment?

Is radiofrequency treatment painful?

How should I prepare for my radiofrequency treatment?

Avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day of your treatment and don’t eat heavy meals immediately before or after the procedure. Stay hydrated, drinking plenty of water on each day of your treatment course.
How many sessions will I need?

Optimal results are achieved over a course of 8 sessions. This is a course of treatments, and results begin to show after 2 or 3 sessions, improving over time until all 8 treatments are complete.
